Hi, I'm Tasha!
I'm a newbie at blogging so bear with me folks!
I was born in Toronto, raised in Ottawa, grew up in Brampton, studied in Calgary, and have recently moved back to Ontario and bought my first house about a year ago. I live with my partner in crime/common law hubby Mike and our 5 month old German shorthair pointer puppy Mowgli. My mom, stepdad and youngest brother live in Calgary. My dad, stepmom, younger brother, and nephew live in Ottawa. I have lots of extended family scattered across the GTA, some in Ottawa, some in Port Elgin, some in North Bay, some in Quebec and some in Vancouver. So needless to say...I get around. If I listed how many times I've moved in my 29 years, you would probably think I was a gypsy.

My hobbies at the moment include walking/hiking with the pup, fitness, cooking, organizing my house, finding ways to be healthy, reading, and spending time with family and friends. So those are the attractive hobbies I have...I would like to say that TV is not one of my hobbies, but then I'd be a liar. I do enjoy me some TV, but I'm proud to say that I've cut back on it a considerable amount since we got the puppy.
Some things I would like to get into this year are photography, decorating my house (I need some motivation on this one!), trying crossfit, rock climbing, learning to play guitar, learning more ways to phase out processed foods, becoming more in tune with my spirituality, and spending more time on training my puppy.

What's important to me these days? My friends and family, my health, yoga, and something new for this year is going to be allowing myself to take more risks and try new things more often.

I originally started this blog to track my personal revolution through a program by Baron Baptiste called "40 Days to Personal Revolution". I realized that I really enjoy writing about different things in my life, and so decided to continue blogging.

After practicing hot yoga for over 2 years now, and with certain life events happening over the past year or so, I have realized that I can no longer afford the luxury of practicing in a studio all the time. I was spending almost $140/month for an unlimited pass! I now have a gym membership for less than $40/month. Because yoga studio classes were not in my budget, I had asked for Baron's 40 days book http://www.amazon.ca/Days-Personal-Revolution-Breakthrough-Radically/dp/0743227832/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1325789205&sr=8-4 for Christmas in 2011 so that I could try it on my own at home (for free!). I also received Baron's Yoga Boot Camp Box http://www.amazon.ca/Yoga-Bootcamp-Box-Interactive-Revolutionize/dp/0312328346/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1325789205&sr=8-6 which contains 2 cds which will help guide me through some practices. I also downloaded a few of Power Yoga Canada's podcasts (Co-Founder Kinndli recorded some live classes they're awesome!) to help guide me as well.
I originally decided to do the program on my own because I simply could not afford practicing hot yoga in a studio. Average prices are around $20/class or monthly unlimited for anywhere between $90-$140. I have now been participating in my local Moksha studio's trade program, where I clean the studio for 4 hours per week and in exchange I receive free yoga.
Enjoy reading my story, learning new recipes and doing some crafts.
Thank you for stopping by!
Namaste!
